Makeover

Hi, friends! Things have been pretty great since my last post. My friends came to visit me for my birthday, and we had a blast. Daily covid tests, delicious food, walks by the Scioto River in subfreezing temps, North Market, snowy hike in Highbanks Metro Park. Then Mama and Libba came to help while Nora was home from school due to a classroom closure, and Fiona had off because of the ice/snow storm. Then I chopped off my hair and went blonde over the weekend before going rainbow Monday. What a whirlwind.

Cancer is terrible, but why else would people have come to visit me in central Ohio in the dead of winter? :) And I've never dyed my hair, so I thought why not do all the colors at the same time?

Some reactions to the new look: Every time Nora sees me she tugs on my hair and says: rainbow, rainbow! Fiona was very proud today when I picked her up, and my hair was all the rage among the four year olds. Also, at the Columbus Museum of Art (on a date with Liam) a docent said my hair looked very "artsy" :)

Chemo starts Thursday, and I'll get the results of the fully body PET scan. I'll let folks know how that goes. I appreciate everyone’s support so much.

xoxox,

Molly

  16. I mean that's some pretty bada$$ hair, just sayin. You look fantastic and I am not surprised the girls love it. Portland would be allllll over it.

Wishing you the best possible experience with the chemo. If I could pick anyone I know in my life who would take it like a champ, though, I'd probably pick you.

(This is anne btw, the website thinks I am called Snorrels, which, Liam, I can only assume is related to the time Joseph Cutler took a class accidentally about what we ended up calling snorries. The point is I can't figure out how to change it. Sorry.)

  17. I am loving this update! So happy to see you surrounded by friends and other loved ones Molly! Your smiles speak for themselves! You make a hot blond, I have to say! I was trying to choose which photo I liked the best, but it's tough, although Liam's face in that next-to-last take is priceless. But I settled on the Chihuly Hair photo! It also reminds me of sharing time with you both over here in the city of grit! Thinking of you as you initiate chemo! Sending you all rainbow-filled hugs! <3
